| Advanced Trainings: Trauma and Addiction Teacher Training with Kula for Karma  Kula for Karma: Trauma and Addiction Yoga Teacher Training Kula for Karma is offering Yoga Teachers a training workshop for trauma and addiction, in collaboration with teacher host Nancy Candea, Director of Yoga Impact. Teachers, who have already completed a 200 hour Yoga Alliance teacher-training course, will be exposed to a wider program of teaching methods and experiences within the subject of trauma and addiction. Yoga techniques including breath work and meditation with therapeutic elements will be covered to help empower individuals to live with more personal awareness and a sense of internal peacefulness. Kula for Karma promotes wellness among society’s most vulnerable populations – those challenged by illness, disabilities, violence and other traumas, at no cost. Kula pioneers the integration of therapeutic yoga, meditation, and stress management into mainstream medicine and healthcare. Yoga Impact brings the science and art of a yoga lifestyle to underserved populations - those who have been displaced from their homes, by acts of violence or because of special needs - people in prisons, women and children’s shelters, homeless shelters, rehab centers, group homes, transitional facilities and at risk youth.
