  Colleen Hruska:
Yoga Teacher
Colleen was inspired by George Harrison’s trip to India to study with the Maharish Mahesh in 1968. Spending many years reading about Eastern philosophy, music, food, ayurveda and learning about an extraordinary spiritual practice called "yoga" deeply intrigued her. At the same time, she learned about the ancient holistic method of healing using proper diet, herbs, lifestyle changes, certain rituals and well being. It wasn't until 1976 when she attended her first yoga class did she realize that her heart was "home" but the journey had just begun!

At the 500 hr. level, Colleen is a certified and registered Kripalu yoga teacher, a graduate of the Kripalu School of Ayurveda as an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist, registered member of Yoga Alliance, and holds a level 11 Reiki certification. She has been a "Stress Reduction through Yoga and Ayurveda" seminar presenter for two years at the international American Towman Exposition at the Baltimore Inner Harbor, MD. She teaches Ayurvedic/yoga classes in Morris County and also teaches for two school districts at their adult and community school programs.

Colleen resides in Rockaway Township with her husband, Mike and their four cats. When not attending Ayurveda/yoga workshops, going "back home" to Kripalu, working a full time job in human resources, she enjoys relaxing by re-connecting with nature in the garden or reading (about yoga or Ayurveda, of course!).
